While I primarily design for female entrepreneurs and small businesses, I am always happy to customize my style for each client’s needs. In this case, Clancy was referred to me by his wife because he needed a WordPress website for his new financial coaching businesses. He also had professional photos taken, which is always a nice touch!
Services Used:
Working with Christi was great! She initially set a timeline for each phase of the design of my website and gave clear instructions to help me through the entire process. She was always quick to respond to any questions and really helped keep us on schedule. She also provided feedback where needed to make sure the functionality and look of my site was quality. I would highly recommend her and will absolutely work with her again for any needs I have in the future!

Brand Design Process
Each project starts with the client’s Vision Sheet, which gives me the overall desired feel for the new website. In Clancy’s case, he was looking for a clean and minimal design with a single bold color. He sent inspiration websites and several color sets. Working from that, here is the first draft of his header design (low resolution previews are shown).

It’s always easier to see what you do/don’t like at this stage. He quickly narrowed down his favorite to layout 5 and the thicker/thinner font variations. He was also curious about using black vs blue, so I showed both options.

For the final revision, we tried two subtle changes in font weight.

Once the header was finalized, I sent coordinating alternate logo options. These are perfect for social media profiles and watermarking.

Finally, the overall brand board showcases everything together. Each client receives font names and color codes to easily carry the new branding over to their own DIY projects.

Website Build
Once the brand design process is complete, I use the client’s Website Build sheet to create the first website draft. We go through a similar revision process to refine the homepage.

Then all additional pages are built to coordinate with the homepage. Clancy’s ABOUT page works to build his authority and know/like/trust factor.

The SERVICES page highlights three options to work together.

The simple CONTACT page has an email form and calendar to schedule a free call.

I also designed a custom BLOG page and blog section on the homepage, which are hidden until Clancy is ready to use them.
