Erin is a TPT seller who needed a WordPress teacher website design to reach new customers, grow an email list, and highlight products. She was looking for a unique and fun website that could grow with her over time. The end result is a cheerful, functional, and powerful website that can grow with her over time.
Services Used:
Christi has been so wonderful to work with throughout the web design process. This was my first time to have a website built from scratch, and I was nervous going into it, but she made everything very seamless. Christi was extremely patient with me throughout the process, and was able to work with me to create a stunning website – better than I could have imagined! I am so thankful for her and plan on working with her again in the future.

Brand Design
Erin already had a bright color palette with a few fonts that she loved, as well as really great TPT product covers, but she needed a consistent brand design and WordPress website that could build on what she had started. Here’s a look at her BEFORE store.

I carried her existing colors into her new business branding so the website will feel familiar to her returning customers. With that in mind, here are her first header options. I always provide a variety of header options in the first draft to help determine each client’s style. Then clients provide feedback about what they do/don’t like for the first round of revisions.

Erin loved option 2, but wanted to try it with the gradient from option 3. 2B was the winner.

Then I actually made two round options (as seen above) for both a solid and a white option for social media. Her final brand board is so fun! Her copy of the board includes font names and color codes so she can keep her branding consistent.

A matching welcome banner in her store helps tie the website and shop together.

Website Build
Because Erin selected the totally custom Dynamic WordPress package, we don’t start with a pre-selected “floor plan” for the site. Instead, everything is built by hand from scratch to custom fit her needs. The new homepage showcases fun icons in the menu to direct traffic, a welcome message, a subscriber lead magnet, functional category buttons, and an about section. When she starts writing blog posts, they’ll automatically display across the bottom.

Erin had such fun travel photos to use on her ABOUT page, which really helps build a connection and show her personality.

The BLOG page has a welcome message that helps with SEO and then will automatically display her posts when she starts adding them.

The post sidebar also has a fun touch that matches her homepage and branding. It has the same lead magnet and a slider of featured TPT resources at the bottom.

Erin upgraded the standard blog category pages with custom options that include a lead magnet (pop up on button click), 4 featured TPT resources, and then recent posts. The color of each category section matches the round buttons on the homepage.

The Contact page makes it super simple to send a message or connect on social media.

Erin opted to include a page of free resources without a password-protected lead magnet for entry. However, that extra step can always be added in the future to help grow her email list.

Finally, Erin wasn’t quite ready to maintain an on-site store, but I still created a bestsellers shop index page with links to TPT.
