I first moved Kim’s beauty studio website to WordPress in 2019, but with all of the recent changes to WordPress it was time for an update. I made similar changes to my own site a few months ago to take advantage of newer optimization options for both aesthetics and function. If you’re running an older WordPress theme, odds are it’s time to update yours too! Now Kim’s new WordPress beauty website should grow with her needs for a long time to come AND she couldn’t believe how quickly we turned it around.
Services Used:
Putting together a beautiful website is quite a task, and finding the right individual or company to accomplish it proves to be even more complex. I have been a client of Christi Fultz for multiple years and two separate websites. I did my search around looking for a particular company that has the ability to create, design, and optimize my website. I am so thankful I met Christi at Design by Christi, not only does she have impeccable taste in design, but she had complete patience guiding me through every step of the process.

The Update Process
First, I put Kim’s site behind a customized “coming soon” page. I work quickly, so the site was planned to go down on Sunday evening and come back live Friday morning. This allowed time for my initial work, as well as edits based on Kim’s feedback. In the meantime, clients who visit her site have links to book or see her social media accounts.

This was a total website makeover, so I rebuilt each page of Kim’s site from scratch. The new homepage is inviting and easy-to-navigate. It features her two most popular services, a short bio, and client reviews.

Services
Kim has a separate booking app for client appointments, but because her permanent makeup services are so visual her new website needed lots of high quality photos. The new services page has sliders for each service beside pricing info and booking links. The top floral photo will be replaced with a photo of her studio once her professional photos come back.

Portfolio
We added a separate page to showcase even more gorgeous client photos.

Reviews
Word of mouth and happy clients are key in service-based businesses. This reviews page will be easy for Kim to update as more great testimonials come in.

Training + Custom Forms
Kim is growing her business to include training courses in the future. We created two pages to showcase her upcoming courses, as well as a custom contact form to collect specific information from potential training models.

FAQs + Policies
Finally, Kim’s work requires detailed care information and policies. The new policy page includes accordion-style drop downs to help clients easily find what they need.

Finishing Touches
All images and pages received SEO touches to help boost visibility for the new website.
