WordPress Migration

Migration Purchase Includes:

• posts
• pages
• Blogger labels converted to WordPress categories
• redirects to WordPress when visitors arrive at your Blogger blog

Details:

• You must have a WordPress.org site. This will not work with the free version of WordPress or WordPress.com. If you need help setting up your new WordPress site, that is a separate service. This service is for content migration on your existing site only.
• Importing from Blogger to WordPress can cause some minor formatting issues. You may choose to go through your previous posts to clean up awkward spacing, images, and other formatting issues due to code differences from Blogger to WordPress. This is not included in my migration service.
• WordPress also uses “featured images” as thumbnails for each post, which Blogger doesn’t support. WordPress can attempt to select the first image in each Blogger post as the automatic featured image. Then you can manually adjust each post to select your preferred alternative image, if desired. This is not included in my migration service.
• Do not delete your previous Blogger blog. If you delete your old blog, redirections to your new WordPress site will no longer work.
• Your social media sharing stats from each post may reset to 0. Popular post counts may not transfer to WordPress either.
• This service does not include migration of Blogger widgets/design.
• No content changes can be made to either site during migration. If you are moving to a new URL, visitors will still be able to read your Blogger blog during this transition on your old URL. If you are using the same URL, your blog will only accessible on the .blogspot.com URL during this transition.
• You are not purchasing a site design. This service moves your old Blogger content over to your existing WordPress site only.
• Store installation or free library sold separately.
• All communication takes place via email to keep a detailed history of Client needs and project progress. Phone consultations are available on a case-by-case basis and additional fees apply.
• Due to the nature of this work, no refunds will be given.
