Behind The Scenes
Logo design is always a collaborative process. Kim asked for pink or teal with flowers, or possibly makeup items. I provide a variety of styles in the initial proposal because it’s always easier to decide what you want when you can see what you like/don’t like. I invite clients to then mix/match in our first round of revisions, or start overly with a new design based on feedback here. I personally loved option #5, but the client is always in complete control.

From the previews, we determined that she prefers a capital “K” and wanted to go with the pink instead of teal. She was leaning toward option 2 or 5. Based on her specific feedback and suggestions, here is her second proposal.

For the second round of revisions, we continued to narrow the focus. We’ve pretty much determined the layout of the text at this point, so it’s just refining the overall style.
She definitely wanted flowers and went back to the initial options to further refine logo #3. I also refined Logo #5/12 by adding flowers.

After that it was easy to see exactly what she wanted. We made one more minor revision to perfect the final design. You can see how the logo evolved from 5 to 12 to 16, to final.
