Brooke is a teacher and resource creator with both a blog and online store who contacted me to migrate her Hot Chocolate Printables blog from Blogger to WordPress. She already had a strong brand identity, but needed technical assistance to bring her vision to life. The end result is a cohesive, mobile-friendly custom WordPress website with a polished new look.
Services Used:

Working with Christi was truly a great experience. I had my own design ideas and she was able to make them a reality! She was always fast to respond to all of my questions and requests making the process streamlined and so much easier than I had imagined! She is detail oriented and I’m thrilled with the end result! I’m looking forward to working with her in the future for upcoming projects!
Before
First, let’s look at the before version on Blogger/Blogspot. There was a landing page format up top with a blog roll on the bottom. It also had a little bit of funky mobile formatting.

Custom WordPress Website First Draft
Brooke sent a mockup (on the left) of her vision for the new custom WordPress website. With my Dyanmic WordPress package, your new website is built entirely from scratch just for you. This means the sky is nearly the limit in terms of flexibility and design. Unlike customizing existing themes, I start with a blank page and I add each piece by hand in this package.
Then I took Brooke’s mockup and built it on WordPress (on the right) to closely match the sheet she sent. You can see how close the first site was to her initial vision.

Final Custom WordPress Website
After seeing everything “live” on her new website, Brooke wanted to make a few adjustments. This is all part of the process and usually happens when going from an idea on paper to a website in real life. Once you can click and scroll around, it’s common to want a few adjustments. Revisions are always included in your package!
Brook opted to add an extra top icon, adjust margins, insert section titles, add more color, and modify the footer layout.
I also migrated her Blogger posts to the new WordPress website, keeping all previous links intact for a seamless reader experience. No broken pins here!

Custom Pop Ups
The Dynamic custom WordPress website package also includes impressive extras, like these branded pop ups on button clicks throughout the page.

Free Resource Library
I also added a password protected free resource library as a lead magnet for Brooke’s email list.

Again, a custom pop up displays an email opt-in form to receive the free library password.

Once inside the free library, resources are simple to download (and update!).

Finally, Brooke received tutorial videos showing her how to use, update, and maintain her new WordPress site. For a more hands-off approach, I offer annual support plans.
