Jackie and Kylene are presenters and teacher-authors who create educational resources. They had existing brand pieces, but their website was displaying the dreaded “white screen of death” error. They decided it was time for a 100% custom WordPress theme to share their curriculum.

Custom WordPress Theme
Because they chose my Dynamic package, each piece of their website is unique and hand-built just for their website. They had this existing JK Curriculum Connection Logo and color scheme and a few icons. I rounded out their collection and used this brand board as the foundation for their custom website design.
The new homepage is packed with color, personality, and information. They opted to feature their blog topics in both the header AND the homepage design itself to help readers find content quickly. The homepage also features their most recent post, a short about section, and four featured resources.
The about page is simple and helps build their credibility.
Each category page has a fun little swoop accent, again tying into their desire to helper readers navigate their main blog topics.
Jackie and Kylene maintain two TeachersPayTeachers store, so they needed a quick page with links to their curriculum store and their JK Singables store on TPT.
The new custom WordPress theme also has a page for their featured JK Singables resources, which link to TPT. In the future, this can be changed to an onsite e-commerce store.
A similar page will showcase their collection of free resources.
